Dua of Prophet Yunus (AS) (Ayat-e-Karima)
Quran 21:87
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Transliteration
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin.
Meaning
There is no deity except You. Glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.
Context
This dua is famously known as Ayat-e-Karima. Prophet Yunus (AS) recited it while he was inside the belly of the whale after leaving his people before Allah’s command. Allah accepted his repentance and saved him from distress. Muslims recite this dua during difficult times and when seeking forgiveness.
