Takbeer of Eid-ul-Adha

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ

Transliteration

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallahu wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd.

Meaning

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity except Allah. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and all praise belongs to Allah.

Context

This Takbeer is recited during the days of Eid-ul-Adha, especially after prayers from the Day of Arafah until the days of Tashreeq. Muslims recite it to glorify Allah during these sacred days.

Benefits

Reciting the Takbeer increases remembrance of Allah and expresses gratitude and joy during the blessed days of Eid-ul-Adha.
