Morning Supplication
Hadith - Sunan Abu Dawud
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ
Transliteration
Allahumma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilayka an-nushur
Meaning
O Allah, by Your permission we have entered the morning and by Your permission we have entered the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.
Context
This dua is recommended to be recited every morning as soon as you wake up. It reminds us of our dependence on Allah and sets the spiritual tone for the entire day.
